Making a purchase is very easy. Just browse our catalogue and click on any items that you want to buy and put them in the shopping cart. When you do this for the first time, you'll be asked to create and activate a new Acolyte Customer Account.
This account identifies you "in the store", sets up a user name and password and links to your contact and delivery information. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with you. We do not sell, share, or rent this information to others.
Registered users with Customer Accounts are able to set up a number of delivery addresses, different from their "billing address" - for example, home and work address (or even third party addresses for gifts) - and are able to change their user name and password and view (and search) previous and current order details.
After you have finished your selection, proceed to the checkout. In the Checkout section you'll be able to change your mind, adding or removing items, and at that stage you will see the appropriate post and packing charges based on where you live and the Royal Mail "First Class" (UK) or "Air Mail" rates appropriate to your delivery address and the final weight of your package.
After confirminging your order, you should be immediately redirected to the "WorldPay" Credit Card Processor. The sensitive financial information (credit card number, expiration date and so on) is handled entirely by WorldPay in this separate section: Acolyte has no access to this, maintaining an "arms length" PCI DSS compliance.
Through WorldPay, we accept credit card payments from VISA, Mastercard, and Delta, and Maestro and Switch debit cards. By prior arrangement we also accept payments by bank transfer and cheques drawn on a UK bank by prior arrangement - email us for details.
Your credit card is charged as soon as you confirm your purchase, so please review all your order details carefully.
For orders via the Online Shop we accept most credit and debit cards including Access, Eurocard, Mastercard, VISA, Switch/Maestro and Connect Card. We regret we do not accept Diners Club or American Express.
Prices displayed apply to online purchases only - they do not apply to other methods of purchase.
Where applicable VAT is charged at the standard UK rate.
